How to Apply Clip-In Hair Extensions

Section Your Hair Use a tail comb to create a clean horizontal parting starting at the nape. Clip the upper hair up with a jaw clip — this is where your first weft will sit.

Clip Up & Tease With the upper hair clipped up, lightly tease the roots of the exposed section with a teasing comb to create grip for the extensions.

Attach & Layer Press a weft flat against the teased section and snap the clips in place. Let down a little more hair, tease, and attach the next weft — working upward until all 9 pieces are in place.

Release & Blend Remove the jaw clip and let all your hair down over the extensions. The result — sleek, naturally full, silky straight hair.

Pro Tips for Best Results

  • With 9 pieces, layer from nape to crown — place the widest 8" weft first at the nape, then work upward with the 6", 4", and 1.5" pieces for invisible blending.
  • For the smoothest result, flat-iron your natural hair before applying. The silky straight wefts blend best with hair that's already straight and smooth.
  • Remove clips before sleeping. Store the wefts flat or on a hanger to maintain the silky finish and prevent tangling between uses.

Care Instructions

  1. 1Wash gently with a sulfate-free shampoo and lukewarm water. Do not rub or wring — smooth the hair in a downward direction only.
  2. 2Apply a moisturizing conditioner from mid-length to ends. Leave on for 2–3 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with cool water to seal the cuticle and preserve the silky finish.
  3. 3Pat dry with a soft towel and allow to air-dry when possible. If using a blow dryer or heat tool, always apply a heat protectant spray first and use the lowest effective heat setting.
  4. 4Store on a flat surface or clip hanger away from direct sunlight and humidity. Avoid sleeping in extensions to prevent tangling and extend the life of the set.
